Description Safeware 35/92 3 Hook 4 Roller Split Spindle Multipoint Lock is used when you need a full-length locking strip that secures a uPVC door at multiple points with a central euro-cylinder gearbox. It’s used as a replacement for worn or damaged Safeware-locks, or to swap from a similar system where the backset, centres and fixing footprint match without altering the door. The lift-lever brings the locking points into play, providing security across the full height of your door. This multipoint lock sits centrally in the door as a square-ended faceplate that runs through the height of the sash. Its 16mm faceplate width keeps the look neat on the edge of the door, while still providing a solid mounting surface. Once fitted, the hooks and rollers work within the frame keeps so the hardware remains hidden behind the door line. Technically, the lock is based on a centre-position euro-cylinder lock box with latch and hook features that operates by a lift-lever handle. The strip uses a 35mm backset measurement and dual spindle set-up with 92/62mm (PZ) centres to suit a wide range of handle sets. Four rollers provide draw-in and stability, and there are two additional hooks to increase the overall locking integrity. For sizing and compatibility checks, the hook-to-hook distance is 1405mm, the top hook to centre is 690mm, the bottom hook to centre is 715mm, and the roller-to-roller measurement is 765mm. The overall length is 2095mm and the mechanism is not extendable, so it suits direct replacement in case existing multipoint lock fails. We also recommend applying a light lubricant to the gearbox and the moving parts a couple of times a year. Continue checking the door’s alignment and keeps so the rollers and hooks aren’t being forced. It’s also worth noting to check the euro cylinder and handles from time to time. You can also update to a 3-star high-security cylinder by replacing the existing euro cylinder without modifying the lock.
