Description The Maco 242411 35mm 2 Hook 2 Roller Multipoint Door Lock is prepared for uPVC doors that use a 35mm backset and 92mm PZ handle position. It is designed to replace worn Maco multipoint locks where two hooks and two rollers engage with the frame to provide multiple locking points along the door height. The centre case carries the main latch and deadbolt, while the additional hooks and rollers provide further engagement along the strip. In addition, this lock has a 16mm square-end faceplate that runs along the full length of the mechanism. The centre gearbox aligns with the existing handle and cylinder cut-outs within the door profile. One hook is positioned 355mm above the centre case, while the second hook sits 690mm below it. This provides a 1045mm hook distance between the upper and lower hooks. Lifting the handle drives both hooks into their frame keeps while the rollers apply compression against the frame to help pull the door tightly into the seals. Once engaged, the euro cylinder secures the central deadbolt within the gearbox. The rollers are spaced 1045mm apart along the strip, while the overall lock length measures 1800mm. This lock also uses a single spindle arrangement and includes an extendable mechanism for compatibility with adjustable door preparations. We recommend routinely checking that the faceplate fixings remain secure along the door edge. Light lubrication should also be applied to the latch, hooks, rollers, and moving components to help maintain smooth operation. If resistance develops during handle lift, the keeps and door alignment should be inspected to ensure the locking points engage correctly.
